Well, Gaeb is 2 1/2 and I figure it's high time the kid learns more about photography than to just be the coolest model ever!
Money where my mouth is, I let him play with my Nikon D300s and Wifeys Nikon D3100. Here are the results... I'm so proud :-D

His first shot was my Lowepro Camera Bag

2nd shot was Norm

Then Gramma

My Laptop

And Mommy hiding behind Buddy

The kid is a natural! I for one can't wait for him to learn a whole bunch more... will keep you updated :)
The Grand River walk with Kayla and Gaeb
Wifey has gone to Winnipeg for a couple of weeks so I kidnapped my daughter Kayla and Grandbabyman Gaeb and took the on a short hike along the Grand River in Cambridge last weekend. As usual when these two are with me, I really don't get many shots that don't include them...
I used my brand spanking new Sigma 17-70/2.8-4 Macro HSM glass for these shots with a Hoya Circular Polarizer attached. I love this lens! Very clear, fast and has a great focal range. The 17 to 70 mm translates to 25.5 to 105mm with my crop sensor Nikon D300s.

Only Gaeb could rock this odd Safari Hat and still be awesome!!
My one shot that wasn't Gaeb related was this close up of a dandelion....
